Family Promise of Gloucester County

206 Ellis Street, Glassboro, NJ 08028

The mission of Family Promise – Interfaith Hospitality Network of Gloucester County is to provide homeless families an opportunity to achieve stability by providing shelter, food, case management, and hospitality while simultaneously utilizing resources within local congregations and the community.

Who is involved?

Family Promise consists of congregations of all faiths, and they provide hospitality, overnight accommodations, and food for the homeless children and their families 24/7. The congregations/synagogues participating in this program recognize the need in Gloucester County. Each congregation plays a vital role in the community, and Family Promise uses the buildings to provide the homeless families a safe, secure place to sleep overnight and volunteers provide a hot nutritious meal every night. Congregations in Gloucester County have come together to help with the same mission – providing homeless children and their families a chance to return as contributing neighbors in our backyard – a way to regain their dignity.
